Vietnam has exported over 2.3 million tons of cassava and cassava products, earning around 1.04 billion USD through November 2024, despite a 13% decrease in volume and a 10% decrease in value compared to the same period in 2023. The average export price per ton was 449.3 USD, a 3% increase from the previous year. China is the primary consumer, accounting for 91.4% of the market share. The Vietnam Cassava Association is working towards a sustainable cassava industry development plan, aiming to increase export turnover to 1.8 - 2 billion USD by 2030 and 2.3 - 2.5 billion USD by 2050, with a focus on sustainable farming and increasing fresh cassava output for deep processing.
